With so many entries for each category, make sure yours stands out. Before you start, run through this checklist:
ARE YOU RELEVANT FOR THE CATEGORY?
The criteria for each category will be slightly different, and judges will assess the entry on how well it matches the criteria, so make sure to read the guidelines carefully.
DO YOU HAVE PROOF?
Tell us all about your initiatives, but also make clear how this benefited the business. Include sales figures, statistics and supporting documentation to back up your success.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TESTIMONIALS?
Third-party testimonials can be that final push at making your nomination stand out. If you're nominating for a specific initiative category, feedback from customers or suppliers can strengthen your nomination. If you’re nominating for a ‘Trainee’, ‘Branch Manager’ or ‘Achiever’ category, then comments from colleagues, staff or managers are beneficial. Your achievements sound more credible if someone else is endorsing them.
ARE YOU BEING CLEAR ENOUGH?
Each nomination should be between 500-850 words, so make sure to be as succinct as possible. An easy way of doing this is to use bullet points to highlight your statements.
